This isn’t about protecting corporate profits—it’s about defending wages, jobs, and the basic needs of our communities. We don’t need to “sacrifice for the economy”—we need to take control of it.

✅ Nationalizing key industries like energy, transportation, and pharmaceuticals to keep them out of corporate hands
✅ Supporting worker takeovers of failing businesses—because if a company can’t keep people employed, workers should have the power to run it themselves

We need to push back. This is an opportunity for real solutions that put people before profits:
✅ Expanding EI and income support so no one is left behind
✅ Building more co-op and public housing to keep homes affordable
✅ Creating public sector jobs in caregiving, green energy

Governments will try to convince us that “we’re all in this together” and that we need to tighten our belts for the sake of the country. But in reality, their priority will be bailing out corporations—just like they did with the pandemic wage subsidy.

The longer this drags on, the more we can expect:
⚠️ Layoffs and wage cuts
⚠️ Bosses demanding concessions from workers
⚠️ Cuts to public services (austerity)
⚠️ Higher prices on essentials
