It's worth noting that Salla has vocally condemned Zuckerberg for his move and called for the EU to act to facilitate the emergence of European alternatives.

Even the supposed gold standard of EU regulatory practice - GDPR - is called out for having damaged the Union's economic standing in the world rather than helped it.

A clear signal emanating from the panel of MEPs at @politico.eu Sustainable Futures Summit that the decarbonisation of agriculture ("the only sector where we do not have a pathway yet" - Pascal Canfin MEP) will be a major climate policy challenge for the next European Commission and Parliament.

A clear signal emanating from the panel of MEPs at @politico.eu Sustainable Futures Summit that the decarbonisation of agriculture ("the only sector where we do not have a pathway yet" - Pascal Canfin MEP) will be a major climate policy challenge for the next European Commission and Parliament.

A quite poignant observation by @stephenkb.bsky.social in his FT newsletter of today, highlighting both the paradox and futility of Brexit: the Leave libertarians, globalists, and small-c conservatives all did not get what they wanted from it - so why persist with it, except out of spite?
