Exactly same feeling I got. Like this time I'll enjoy it but keep the fandom as a side bar - I'm too old to get caught up in all that again. 😅

All the bars are either too chewy, chalky, or have a weird aftertaste. I showed her my favorite protein powders and premade shakes - how I use one in my morning coffee. She said thanks and rubbed my back. It was nice. I haven't had a convo with a stranger in so long that felt good afterwards. 🥰

The vet was successful for the most part.

The night was long but he successfully pooped and peed without a limp tail, ate breakfast and the sore on his hind leg is looking much better. Last day for the meds then to the vet tomorrow AM.
Gave him a bit more space to chill and is wearing the inflatable watermelon cone for the day. ❤️

So things got a bit worse on the pain scale for my boy and he's been over grooming is legs so much the sore is bad enough for "The Cone" and if he walked more then 5 steps he'd freak out. He has been moved to *the bathroom of healing* till Monday. He is not having a good time...

So Charming was starting to feel a bit better and tried to go up the stairs a bit faster and his left hind leg gave out. It wasn't good. The vet is over booked right now but I was able to get him in for Monday - getting x-rays and a work up to find out what's causing this issue.

The boy is back home. The vet said he most likely has some inflammation and it's putting pressure on his tail. Gave him a shot of Anti-inflammatory and pain killers. Have some for at home and will give it 4 days to see if that helps. 🤞

First estimate for testing is $678 and that includes X-rays to check his spine/hind legs.
They don't have an idea yet on the cause of pain but hopefully it's treatable and manageable. My boy is only 10 years old but a chunky guy so arthritis is very probable.
