Walsden Water joins the Upper Calder Catchment at Todmorden Salford. Run-off from the high-sided eastern hills in Walsden has to cross the railway and road before it joins the river by the shortest route.
Dredging after the 2015 floods helped.

This is how Todmorden is looking. Not far from the source of the two rivers Calder, east and west flowing, it'll be unpleasant for driving as no leaf sweeping has been done :(
