No one’s shouting. Just pointing out that nothing about this is normal. Thinking that the status quo would remain the same should any of this come to pass because there would be financial hardships attached doesn’t follow historical precedence already established.

Not saying it wouldn’t be without consequence but what’s the alternative. Stick our heads in the sand because there’ll be a financial impact? There’s nothing normal about any of this. Would anyone have advocated the same with Germany in 1939?

I hesitate to pile on the Sens and indulge in a bunch of schadenfreude at this point in the season because they sit last in the division and are 7 points out of the wildcard. Andlauer is a class individual and they possess a lot of quality assets. Remember where the Sabres were earlier this season

Who cares? When Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, all normalized trade with most countries was otherwise suspended and economic sanctions were rolled out. It’s a given that an aggressive, unilateral act of war on a peaceful, sovereign nation would be met with economic and diplomatic isolation.

There also wasn’t much in regards to player development in terms of a system that would support growth and maturity but drafting has been Death Valley on that team going even further back than 2003. Except for Saku Koivu it’s was slim pickings from 1987 to 2005

While I agree with your take I do also hope that Lindstrom has a good career. Not his fault for getting drafted where he did and by whom

Good. Time the fans actually embraced a proper rebuild that is by all indications exceeding expectations and timelines. Stanley Cup winners aren’t built by embracing myths & pixie dust magic spread by past legends. 33 + year championship droughts are however

I don’t agree. The team is way ahead in its rebuild. This part is the most frustrating to deal with because it’s where you’ve seen the promise of the roster but now deal with the inconsistencies in the performances of the youngest roster in the NHL. Be patient. Better days are ahead

To be fair he pretty much indicated he didn’t want the one in 2020

Well, it’s an empty gesture on her part made to ingratiate someone who could install her in a position of power. The failure of the Nobel committee is in granting it to such a weak candidate. Should be like the MLBHOF. Don’t hand one out if there’s no one deserving that year.

Why can’t they just use the microchips from the Covid vaccines to track everyone.

They’re as concerned about the true meaning of the CCR song as they are about what’s actually in the New Testament

Hurt the 2001-2002 Red Wings so much to have 10 olympians that year they only won the cup in 5 games instead of 4

GMs & coaches tend to pick familiar players even when it’s a bit of a downgrade. Cooper’s always liked him so we’ll see.

Naw, Fowler’s still a rookie and Dobes is still too inconsistent. Monty just needs time to find his game. I’d rather see Fowler in the AHL away from unrealistic expectations and needless pressure. We’ve tried it the other way for 30 years how about we do the right way for a while
