Working on my next card art project. Started this in 2023, and then put it in the closet while I worked on a Barry Larkin project. Very excited for this one. The hat, bat, and one eye have turned out spectacularly!

Found a real treasure that I've been looking for! 1940 World Series publicity photo "Expected lineup for Game 1." From Boston Herald.

Day 2...post 2: 1987 Topps cello pack. Probably my third favorite RC. But it's a nice in-game shot. The ramp up to peak junk wax in 88/89/90. But that's not to say there aren't a ton of these floating around. This is also a set that collectors love or hate. That wood border?! No in between.

Day 2: 87 Fleer Cello pack. This is my favorite RC, probably followed by Kahns, and then Topps third. I think 87 Fleer is such a clean design, great photos, and something about the blue border color just works with that blue sky behind Larkin.

I've been posting my Barry Larkin collection in a 100 Day celebration over on X. I'll have to condense it to 30 days here on Bluesky. Day 1: circa 1986-87 rookie era GU bat. No signs of contact, but pine tar on the handle.
