Super useful. My friends have a Dane who’s a little over 1, very much still a puppy and she has no idea of personal space so I get that entirely. When you tell her to back up she just warbles at you and wants to play 😂

Yeah sounds like it was a male. Then again they all look huge when they stand in their back legs (photo of mine with her mother from several years ago). Border collies are definitely a medium, yours looks very sweet. I love their idiosyncrasies, dogs have so much personality.
