Trump is getting not better at coming up with derisive nicknames. For example Marjorie Taylor Greene could have been the

Greene Bad Spiel

instead of green turns brown. Ugh.

It's really nice to see that the original spirit of microcomputing is still alive and well in at least one small corner of the Internet.

Luckily for Stanley Burger King was just a short walk away.

What I found most offensive in #JimmyKimmel monologue:

Referring to the shooter as a ‘kid’.

Even “kids” who murder can be tried as adults. And most 22-year-olds would not want to be referred to as a ‘kid’.

Must have been an off-off-night.

Many times #shooters shoot for notoriety. In fact, it seems some are mostly trying to promote new, more creative ways to commit #suicide via mass #murder.

So… HIDE THEIR NAMES.

Like #sexcrime victims, dead mass shooter IDs should permanently withheld: “Assailant #2542.”

They deserve nothing more.

Given that this is going to be a busy and possible tense weekend here and everywhere, I'm glad I just listened to the 6/2/25 "Price of Revenge" Hidden Brain podcast with neuroscientist James Kimmel, Jr.

The Price of Revenge - Hidden Brain Media
Revenge often feels sweet, but what price do we pay for seeking it out? Researcher James Kimmel, Jr. proposes a radical theory: our desire for vengeance operates like an addiction in the brain. This w...

Don’t recommend this @NYTIMES.com op-ed but note that as humanity pushes towards 9,000,000,000 folk, Ross Douthat choose to cite ‘lack of procreation’ most, of all his ‘doomsday’ topics. If Ai is good enough, we won’t need armies of young to care for the old, leaving space for other species. Jeez.

Chris Wright isn’t wrong but nothing he said to energy producers precludes switching to newer, better, renewable forms of energy production.

In fact, doesn’t such progress explain the switch to oil/gas from the burning of coal and wood?

In 1875, would Wright have fought Standard Oil?

Can’t understand why #trans girls should compete in female sports. The only reason there are ‘girl’ teams is the biology that ‘the average’ man is stronger than ‘the average’ woman, other things being equal.

Trans girls on average are probably a bit stronger than average girls too.

And the meds?

Has #Zelenskyy stopped #WWIII?

On 9/1/39 #Germany attacked #Poland. Poland was lost in 27 days.

On 9/24/22 #Russia attacked #Ukraine using much the same rational as Germany v. Poland.

With #EU & #U.S. aid, 3 years later #Putin has little to show for his effort other than loss of >200,000 solders.
