Still the same Disney Nerd from that other dumpster fire of an app. A Haunted Mansion fanatic, Disney Vinyl Record Preservationist, avid movie collector and Disneyland is vastly superior to Walt Disney World 😉
Happy 85th anniversary to Walt Disney's masterpiece "Fantasia". I ran a special showing this morning at the theatre-of course I ran it in the big auditorium with the Dolby Atmos sound!! It was truly magnificent. It's been 30 years since I saw it last in the theatre-it looked fantastic! 🎥🍿🎶

Today is Rey's (yellow lab) 6th birthday so of course we get a special treat of cupcakes for both her and her "little" sister Leia to enjoy. From the looks of it the birthday cupcakes were a hit. I'm sure Rey would have brought the bowl up and ask like Oliver-"please sir, I'd like some more" 🎂🎁🐕♥️🧁

It's Disney Anthology recap time! 70 years ago tonight Walt took us back to Sherwood Forest to conclude "The Story Of Robin Hood". After a long 7 minute recap of what happened last week (lots of fluff!!) we finally find out how Robin defeats the evil Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham.

If you see this, post an album cover with a motor vehicle on it.

Disney Anthology recap time! 70 years ago tonight Walt took us back to merry ol' England with his retelling of "The Story Of Robin Hood". Richard Todd is no Errol Flynn, but he does put a fun spin on the character of Robin. There is a fun segment at the beginning on how the film came to be made.

Happy Halloween! Some of my favorite costume pics from years past with my 2 babies Lilo & Stitch. They never had issues dressing up (unlike the 2 I have now 😂) 🎃👻

You betcha I watched Back To The Future tonight on the 40th anniversary of when Marty travels back in time! I have to say the 4K restored version is flipping FANTASTIC!! Also the ending was restored back to its original form-no more “To Be Continued” tag at the end. It’s the little things 😊

6 short subjects were featured on the program-Flowers and Trees, The Practical Pig, Three Orphan Kittens, Little Hiawatha, The Old Mill and Ferdinand The Bull. Fun fact-Ferdinand was NOT part of the Silly Symphony series, yet Walt stated it was. Even 1955 Walt was rewriting Disney history!

The episode concludes with “Mickey and the Beanstalk” segment from 1947’s “Fun and Fancy Free”. New narration was recorded for this with Sterling Holloway replacing Edgar Bergan & Charlie McCarthy but it did keep the spirit of the original ending with Willie ripping off the roof to Walt’s office.

This particular episode would be rebroadcast 2 other times in season 2: 4/18/56 and 7/4/56. This is one of 5 missing episodes that unfortunately is not in my collection (so close to having all anthology episodes) so I had to recreate this episode by viewing the 3 P&P short subjects for context.
