“When everyone does, no one is” is just false. I’m not convinced AI is cheating, but everyone doing something wrong doesn’t make it suddenly not wrong.

Yeah maybe it would be more accurate for me to say being early every time gives people one fewer reasons to weed you out of their call pool. And in many situations being on time and mid at the music is all that’s needed.

My admittedly limited experience in the music business is that merely showing up five minutes early to every gig, rehearsal, and meeting is so uncommon that people remember it and that one thing can get you called again. Just being mid at the music but being pro otherwise puts you ahead

I would work hard through the end of the semester in case there’s a curve. I’ve found just being in the top quarter of the class is surprisingly often sufficient for an A despite mediocre numerical scores.
