It is kind of you to ask. She is much better than we both feared she would be after such a deep relapse. Still fragile and careful; we originally feared it would be wheelchair use for a few months, and instead it’s slow sensible walking round town.

Yes, as they turned and ran up the hill the sky was suddenly busy with the pastel splashes of fireworks (which would have been launched several fields away). It lent it all a lovely unearthly feel.
