Don’t over read this morning’s news that house prices have started rising again (one months data only etc).

Overall picture remains one of stagnation, with prices far too high for most people to afford - but not rising enough to spur more market supply. builtplace.com/jrf-reboot/

In which, for the first time ever, I made a housing market prediction that has turned out to be accurate: that prices would soften but not crash, prompting a 'worst of all worlds' scenario of supply falling without prices correcting to affordable levels (ok, it was @resi-analyst.bsky.social)
