the Black Guardian is also known as the Guardian Of Darkness (though I think the Shadow Guardian sounds better).
As for casting, it'll have to be someone whose voice has gravitas, so maybe Ralph Ineson?

#DoctorWho If I had a pound for every time narrator of The Repair Shop appeared in Doctor Who, I'd have two pounds (excluding cameos) which isn't much but it's strange that both were in Matt Smith's first series and both stories had returning villains.
