If these people were consistent, they'd also believe that men are supposed to suffer tilling the fields and oppose the use of agricultural machinery. (Although now that the people pushing this are no longer involved in running farms themselves, maybe we shouldn't give them ideas.)

Agreed that something like this is necessary anyway: bsky.app/profile/davi...
The only solution I can think of is that you have to put some of the cubes away until you need more digits. Maybe this device has a back where you can put the unused cubes?

You could hide some of the blocks in a drawer, but that does seem like cheating.

… There's no point abolishing it except for him (and not only because if we allowed for exceptions, it wouldn't stop there). But as long as other people are in prison (especially people he put in there for no good reason), it doesn't seem right for him to be out.

I kind of want him in prison because he's sent so many people to prison (and worse). He's down with the system, he's part of it, he'd just be getting what he wanted.

If we abolish prison and as a result he too stays free, then that is fair and just. …

Somehow ‘What's good for DoorDash is good for the country’ is *not* something economists say.

Sort of.

The quote doesn't mention Miss Teen USA, and he owned other pageants, so he could have only walked in on adults (not that that would make it OK). I've seen the quote around with Miss Teen USA specified, but the original doesn't seem to say that. You can see it quoted here for example:
Former Miss Arizona Says Donald Trump Would Walk In on 'Half-Naked' Contestants
Tasha Dixon said Donald Trump came "strolling right in" as women were changing.

Typos in the alt text: her name is Celina Midelfart (not MidLEfart). She inherited a cosmetics company shortly after Epstein ‘gave’ her to Trump, and has her own Wikipedia page.

The journalist and author of Fire and Fury? I'm sure it is; he was a friend of Epstein's in the decade before his death, and has since been a source of accusations against both Donald and Melania Trump in connection with Epstein (presumably to distract from or mitigate his own possible guilt).

If you are in Colorado, ARC Thrift Stores are great and profits from sales are used to benefit people in need in the community.

Check out this great find: bsky.app/profile/miss...
Who doesn't love the Arc thrift stores! 😂 Great find!

It went over my head when I was a kid, therefore it didn't exist.

I thought you were making that up.

I'd bet that most Jews living in majority-Christian countries understand the meaning that Christians find in Passover, better than most Christian theologians understand the meaning that Jews find in Passover. Cultural hegemony will do that.

(This should of course not stop them in any way from making a new James Bond movie. Then it's up to the fans to overthink it if they want to.)

It's fun to overthink it.

Another one that I couldn't remember. Possibly because (having now looked it up) it comes just before one of the most interesting passages in the book (or indeed the entire series): how to fly.

And too many con artists too.

And the gun's not even aimed at the child; it comes out slightly towards us. It's possibly aimed at the adult, although my recollection from the time is that that wasn't true either.

Still, it was a shocking picture and I understand why. The pictures today are also shocking, just not to the right.

I remember this from the before times, when Twitter was a place to make fun of Musk, not a place to be under the thumb of Musk.

If they're vital and irreplaceable, then it's guaranteed revenue. It's only strange because we're used to him pretending that China pays the tariff instead of American consumers.

Last year, during the campaign, he was saying that magnets stop working if you dunk them in water. Maybe it's better that at least he admits his ignorance now.
