One more thought: in case you’re interested, I posted in the woolies Beyond the Basics with more info and had discussions/recommendations with those interested in doing similar with pockets (and shared some challenges I ran across) and dealing with the pleat in Willow that can affect narrowing.

I now like the changes enough that I may start wearing it by itself!

I only wore marine Cam as a slip layer so it was a good one to start with. I did a ton of pocket experimenting on a clearance knit fabric first (stitches, tension, etc) and would highly recommend that. For sure: lots of ironing and basting before final stitching!

I mean the tencel and the Maggie narrower—marine is just right but it took a lot of deconstruction/reconstruction.

Thanks! 💙 I’m wondering if I’m going to want them narrower in the bod, but this was an easier fix. I’ll see how it goes!
