@t3.gg is that user-agent faking intentional?
November 22, 2025 at 5:44 PM
interesting. now I'm wondering whether the UA faking is a "feature" of the model or the system around it (t3)

what tool is that?

FWIW one of the main issues is that we have had "crates.io username == GitHub username" for so long, that a lot of systems are relying on it (e.g. doc.rust-lang.org/stable/cargo...)

Breaking this assumption needs to be done in a very careful way to not create unintentional security issues.

This feature is currently limited to gitlab.com and does not support self-hosted setups yet. As our friends at PyPI have demonstrated, it should be possible to support that too though. You know what that means: PRs welcome! 😉

lol okay, though agent control via motion capture seems crazy enough to be interesting 😂

motion capture? now I'm getting curious what you're building there... 😄

yeah, I can imagine how that would quickly use a lot of tokens.

my experience with parallel agents has been underwhelming though. when I just let them run lose without supervision the resulting quality isn't particularly great. I have much more success when I treat it as a pair programmer.

wow... I only just upgraded from Pro to the Max 5x plan and I can barely saturate it 😅

FWIW the bug is that Ubuntu did not update to the latest version. the bug had already been fixed upstream but Ubuntu apparently did not feel it was worth updating their distro...

I'm somewhat surprised I didn't get paged for it due to crates.io AWS usage but apparently our usage might have been unaffected? 😅
