Patience is a virtue
The Virtue, an enemy from the video game ULTRAKILL. The Virtue is a translucent blue orb with two golden chains wrapped around it & some more shattered golden pieces floating around it. It also features a thick golden ring above it. Holographic, bright blue wings float by its sides, and two more pointed vague shapes of a similar manner are positioned below it. I felt the need to get my feelings out on paper due to current events: the release of ANTONBLAST! by @summitsphere.bsky.social

Let us ffuking blast
The disembodied screaming head of Dynamite Anton “ANTONBLAST!”, floating in the lined void that is a tiny Drawtectives notebook, courtesy of Drawfee’s DFTBA store. Anton’s head features a green tongue, green cap on his head, bright red skin, rectangular, white teeth; and spiky, jet black hair that surrounds most of his head. Anton’s hair is colored with a brush marker, his teeth have been left uncolored, and the rest of him has been rendered with colored pencil. Also, you can’t see this in the image, but the words “Let’s F&$%ING BLAST” are written on the next page in cursive with the same marker used to render Anton’s hair. I actually haven’t bought “ANTONBLAST!” yet. I just wanted to manifest him onto paper using a meme that I think fits the game’s vibe to a T.

Something a li'l: Late last year & then earlier this year, I did a couple studies of two different metal busts of Abraham Lincoln. In spite of their similarities, I noticed that they had a lot of subtle difference, which made them interesting to study.

Time to post more characters of mine. Here's Six Gunner Serena, a Hawaiian cowboy lady whose cybernetic arms have guns built into them. She can do the finger guns thing & can also take off an entire arm to use as a shotgun.

I namely just came up with the hand-gun thing first & went from there.

Her arms are segmented & silver, and she is holding up one of her hands with the index finger pointed outward. She also has a segmented silver torso constructed out of cylinders. More in the center of the page is another drawing of the woman, albeit much smaller & more cartoony, her face now being no more than two dots on a circle. Her right arm is no longer connected to its socket, instead being held in her left hand, with the right arm having now taken the shape of a shotgun. The words "I have almost none of my organs" and "yeehaw" are written to the right. Further towards the bottom right, another cartoony drawing shows her on a sleek, silver motorcycle. The name "Six Gunner Serena/Selena" is written at the top of the page. Yeah, I couldn't remember whether I called her Serena or Selena.

the eye of my apple

When I got into work, there was a notepad there with none of the paper remaining. I decided to use it as a mouse pad and then decided I wanted to personalize it. Ergo, Eye-Apple. Eyepple. Appleye. Apply. Apply yourself to your life, and you too will be able to behold the phenomena before you, much like the apple. Have a nice day.

Before Render vs. After Render
The most innovative drawing I have ever made
A pencil drawing of a cross, angled as if you are looking up at it. Some pieces of it are broken off & shattering. Many lines decorate its surface, as if it is made of gemstone. The same drawing from before, but fully rendered. The cross is covered in sharp red shapes, with more orange & yellow ones in the spots where it has broken. The inner portions of the cross that are visible are a pure white.

what is real is often unclear when one cannot see what lies ahead

Further off to each sides, pure-black arms reach upwards. SIGNALIS is a very cool, very atmospheric game. Highly recommended if you like a good spooky game and/or intriguing world building.

A mock up logo for Desert Bus for Hope's Dawnguard Consumer Report segment. The center features an abstraction of the sun (and the Dawnguard logo): a medium-orange half-circle with pale yellow rays spanning out from behind it. On the half circle, there are two pale-green rectangles, angled toward the center of the half-circle, positioned like a set of eyes. A third, curved, much longer rectangle in a pale-red color is positioned below the green ones, making what appears to be a mouth. Below all these shapes, the word "dawnguard" is written in all-caps in a stylish, rounded font, colored with a gradient that goes from pale-green to bright orange. Below that, the words "Consumer Report" are written in a more plain red font. I had a lot of fun making this. I experimented with the Bezier curve tools and alpha locking in Krita, and I'm pretty happy with the results. It's fun to learn more of what Krita can do in the process of making something.

To be honest, I'm not wholly sure why I made this account. I never even really used that other site - the one account I had for it was a gimmick account that was for a school project. Still, I felt like giving the old posting a whirl. Heck, who knows - maybe I'll really like it around here!

The other is a much taller figure in a long sleeved shirt, with a short, rounded poncho, and small, vertical-line eyes. He holds a polearm with a crescent shaped blade. That character is Bluke. The words "This came to me in a dream" are written at the top of the page in cursive script. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ These are comfort characters of mine. Unlike most people who find their comfort characters in characters who already exist, I up and made my own. The designs have gone through a lot of changes over the years, especially Bluke. Heck, Kalana is traditionally around Bluke's height, but I liked the imagery of her being this tiny triangle lady, so I decided to commit it to paper.
