Because we were told we could do/be "anything" as kids. Turns out it was all lies and we only get whats left after they fill all the jobs with ai or get rid of them altogether to protect profit. They got us with the propaganda young and then by the time we learned the truth we were stuck :/

Indeed!! What's rlly helped me in humanizing ppl that have problematic ideologies is reminding myself that we're all having propaganda shoved down our throats and none of us are immune to it. Some of us are just fortunate enough to have the resources to know whats true.

This is so hard because youre absolutely right. The complicated part is we need to practice discernment and know who to (and not) extend grace to. Yes we need give ppl the room to make mistakes and grow but not at the expense of others, especially innocents. It's a tough balance and a lot to ask
