Its a very stupid and complex thing. I remember when i was on twitter, i would use my likes as an archive for posts that i would want to revisit later. I would like bad stuff just so i could come back to it and read further into it. I didn’t use bookmarks for whatever reason, and i still don’t.

…Seeing as marksmanship is such a huge part of what makes shooters so beloved, if you don’t have that, then you’d need a different part of your combat system thats can deliver a comparable skill ceiling and player interaction. I think this is likely why such games never flourish as much.

I think the immediate issue with a melee game thats on the same level of intensity and competitiveness as some FPS is creating a combat system that creates player interactions that are interesting and complex. I think a melee only FPS could easily become petty and basic more so than that of gunplay

Honestly. Thats the enjoyment of art, getting to the final product. If there is a part of the process you dislike, then work around it and evolve you work. I dislike lineart, so i just dont do it, i worked around it and i like my art more for that.
