SMB3 infected me with the gamer gene, so I gotta go with that one as well. Although Mario 64 will probably always remain the single most mindbending experience I've ever had with a video game. It had 1 whole entire D more than the previous ones!

Suikoden 2 (+ 1) should be getting a remaster this year, and I think that's the entry on my list that has the biggest overlap with yours. Trails to Azure might be a close second, but it's game 5 in a continuous story, making it a bit tougher of a sell. Hades might surprise ya--it surprised me!

Vacationing with my DS in the 2000s might be my favorite gaming memory. Phoenix Wright, Hotel Dusk, Castlevanias out the wazoo, and of course TWEWY. I'm almost scared to replay it, but I really need to get around to it so I can finally try out the new(ish) one.

Floating around aimlessly doesn't exactly -not- feel like me, but I too hope for a miracle!

Trying and sometimes succeeding ain't half bad, imo. Hope to catch you on there soon!

I had a weird generational jump where I got a NES while very young, not aware that it was dead and buried and fully usurped by its younger brother, meaning I jumped straight to the N64 next. Mario RPG and LTTP probably would've been foundational for me. There was a great Tetris for the 64?!

Miss you, too! My ADHD meds gifted me with a new side effect, so 2024 ended up being migraine city for me, which is a few miles left of Twitch. My head feels OK now, but at the cost of being comically unfocused. Are you still streaming on the reg? Name a weekday or two and I'll make sure to stop by!

Good stuff! What console is Yoshi's Cookie for? The regular ol' Famicom? I think I own the PAL version, but I haven't looked at NES cartridges in literally decades, and I don't think I've seen one that looks like that. Chrono Cross has been my #1 'game I'm looking forward to trying' for a decade.
