Then again, Helldivers II managed to not only get nominated, but WIN "Best Ongoing Game" in 2024 despite releasing in February of that same year, which even back then I said was a joke and completely misses the point of an "Ongoing Game" if it hasn't even existed outside of a single calendar year.

Best Community Support is also the exact same list as 2024. And Best Ongoing Game is the same list as Community Support but with Marvel Rivals (a game that hasn't been out for a year yet, and wasn't even eligible for TGA last year). It's just so lazy and phoned in.

Also not even considering the fact that Mario Kart World wasn't an option for best music score, when that might actually be one of the greatest video game OSTs in history just with how much it encompasses. But nah let's just list the same exact nominees as Best Art Direction in a different order.

How does Undermine(d) get a nomination for the Hollywood Music in Media awards but not the actual video game awards? No shade to the nominees but that's a massive snub honestly and I doubt they even considered it because half of the categories are just copy/pasted from each other #TheGameAwards

With Captain Toad becoming an official alt of 'the' Toad in Mario Kart World, I wonder if this is part of Nintendo's Switch 2 'rebrand' of a lot of characters like what Donkey Kong got. It would retcon previous continuity that shows them as separate characters, but I'm down for it.

Movie Toad now has the red neckerchief that Captain Toad wears. It was already pretty obvious in the first movie (with the backpack and Toad Brigade theme), but now I'm curious when they'll go the whole way by giving him a headlamp. #supermariogalaxy #supermariogalaxymovie #captaintoad

It's hard to isolate what I think are objectively the best vs. the ones I just like because I like the mon in general. But I think one of my favorite's that's undeniably great is Magneton. Looks especially cool with Scarlet/Violet's metallic textures. I'd probably be between that and Greninja.

Diddy's new design on appears to use the pin from his Mario Movie design. Fitting, since DK's redesign is also influenced by his Mario Movie design. I'm glad they didn't go the whole way with the separated eyes or turning his tank top into a full on basketball jersey though. #DiddyKong #DonkeyKong
