well they reversed it shortly after it was pointed out by larger accounts so they probably agree with my understanding of algorithmic choice

sure but bsky doesn’t claim to be a regular social media platform. the whole point was to put its users and communities in control and make the experience maximally composable. the plane analogy doesn’t work bc i can’t preemptively choose to filter it out and prevent the potential mass hysteria

bsky’s pitch is quite convincing. DIDs, transparency, custom feeds, potential interoperability with fediverse.
