The New Garden Society is a non-profit organization that provides therapeutic and vocational horticulture training. In all its endeavors, TNGS partners with host agencies to design and implement programming that supports participants’ wellbeing.
We are proud that our programming is therapeutic as well as vocational. Hope takes root in our gardens - and you can keep those gardens growing. Donate today to provide that oasis to more of your incarcerated neighbors. www.thenewgardensociety.org/support

Our students, ideally stay with us in the garden classroom for the whole growing season, and much of our curriculum depends on that. However, we see potential at several sites to present short-term opportunities to eat fresh food, learn horticultural skills, and utilize therapeutic green space.

We are passionate about offering resources to people while they are experiencing incarceration, whether they seek a therapeutic practice, an introduction to the industry, or to build horticultural skills. The garden feeds all of these needs.

We proposed changes would have the potential to double our current produce production, primarily by enabling TNGS to train incarcerated students in the practices and tools necessary to manage increasing rabbit presence, and the proof is in the produce!
