Ohhellyes on Keanu. My first serious crush almost 40 years ago and still much adored. 🥰

I’m on board with this 1,000%. It’s a win-win in so many ways for everyone involved- the college student, the Head Start program, and the preschoolers.

Tomorrow will be a zoo there too because thousands of people still think there’s a July 3rd fireworks show on the lake like back in the day.

It’s not due to NASCAR street closures, is it?

Yup. Probably Friday at like 4:45pm.

Beef with sweet or a combo with sweet. Occasionally a tamale too. And Italian ice when it’s blazing hot outside.

It happened as soon as people didn’t need a .edu email address to register. Then we got the “yay, my parents are on Facebook now!!” posts. 🤦‍♀️

Yes. Look at NBC 5 Chicago or ABC 7 Chicago’s websites for streaming options.

I vote for 2. Because any other day you can still use “We’re So Cooked.”

No safety issues for me any time I’ve taken public transport in Chicago—Metra, L trains, buses. You haven’t been told off til you get told off by a woman CTA bus driver. Nobody is playing around on her shift, trust me. 🤣

Jewel delivery is not bad. I have done it when I’m really sick and can’t go out. They usually offer the same sale prices for delivery as in-store.

I deal with the pre-k group. It’s not so much “I hope I don’t get sick” as it is “Can we please spread out the contagious illness outbreaks by just a few days?? Please? Covid last week and this week it’s norovirus??” 🤒

Classrooms are germ farms no matter what the age. 20-25 kids (who we know are not aces on hand hygiene at any age) within close proximity all day long all week long? Petri dish. 😷

And keep in mind the true cost of meal service: not just the food itself, but dishware, serving bowls and utensils, labor, a portion of the program overhead, admin cost for recordkeeping, food for children with meal modifications… It adds up fast!!

HS programs can still enroll up to 10% over-income families if they’ve exhausted the wait list and have no other applicants. There has to be a justification factor (eg child has disabilities, etc.)

Me too. $5.5k. And this week of course happened to be the week my employer did the annual extra lump-sum contribution. It’s already gone. 🤬

www.pbs.org/wgbh/america... I highly recommend the 1918 Influenza one too.
Influenza 1918 | American Experience | PBS
It was the worst epidemic in American history, killing over 600,000 — until it disappeared as mysteriously as it had begun.
