right now, there’s no way to negatively respond to something without dunking. this is good for platforms optimizing for engagement, bc every negative response spawns a new post and increases virality. it’s bad if you actually want a protocol that has mechanisms for virality as well as containment.

yes. there’s other ways to deal with even the worst actors. ignore, shun, humorously dismiss, refute. but “bullying” escalates cycles of confrontation that bring out the worst in people. i think bad actors sometimes thrive off the negativity too.
