How many are the people

And

How rare is the human

While we're all distracted by Israel's rampage, Libya is quietly ratcheting up in importance and impact.

An item on Meloni-Macron talks, reconvening of Berlin and now again at the EUs FAC.

But for all the movement, Libya still lacks leadership, meaning the destsbilising vacuum only grows
June 24, 2025 at 10:20 AM
Well... That went well

Looks like Israel is trying to treat this as it does its ceasefires with Lebanon (for thee but not for me). Let's see if Tehran tolerates it

Astonishing that this is how the BBC reports on a far right terrorist attack

The dynamics behind such a headline should frankly terrify everyone in the country

Sometimes i feel like I'm living in an onion article

Just to deepen that feeling of impending war is a complementary Turkish airlift.

This is a UN vacuum being filled

The Haftar alliance's rearming routes seem to be very active these days.... Just to add to the feeling that #Libya's returning to a 2019 style dynamic
May 31, 2025 at 9:48 AM
Following the recent violence #Libya lays in a dangerous place for a nation to be in

A ruling elite, acting like everything is normal

And a public desperate to live a normal, dignified, honest life and wondering why they must accept this as normal.

Alright lads, who had Captain Traore teaming up with the Taliban on their geopolitics 2025 bingo cards?
May 13, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Just a regular scheduled reminder that this is the active foreign policy of Europe, the USA and the western world.

Whether through participation or turning a blind eye

Keir Starmer and the labour party are at this point tightly ensnared in the migration trap.

Being tougher on migrants and asylum seekers wont win labour back its own voters or attract them from the right.

Efficient processing and streamlining migrants and refugees into work would though

Europe's two closest allies in the middle east, Israel and the UAE, are now both on trial at the ICJ for genocide.

While the UAE case is unlikely to proceed for jurisdictional reasons, this kinda really should be our sign that we need to choose our friends better
March 7, 2025 at 1:57 PM
It says a lot that throughout this genocide, the Onion has been the western world's most insightful and accurate reportage

With Trump's recent protest banning decree and Germany's strange new conspiracy theory portal this one year old headline bears relevance yet again...
March 5, 2025 at 10:41 AM
While Europe comes together in shock and consternation about blindly trusting Putin to keep to a deal in Ukraine

They find time to help exculpate Netenyahu for breaking the Gaza ceasefire with a truly kafkaesque statement blaming Hamas for *checks notes* insisting on the agreed upon terms....

France has supported Haftar for over 10 years now.

In the process they've:
🔻Violated UN arms embargoes
🔻Undermined political processes
🔻Blocked accountability for war crimes

Today he leads people, drug, and fuel smuggling operations & catalysed Russia's Africa operations.

Yet they persist...

This photo is of Dr Hosam Abu Saffiyah, director of the besieged Kamal Adwan hospital in north Gaza walking towards Israeli tanks to speak up for his patients. He was then kidnapped by the IDF. . .

This image of bravery should be our generation's Tiananmen square Tank man

One under appreciated victory of the right wing is completely shifting our political conversation from economics to "culture"

Dems, Labour etc.. keep following the bait then wondering why they get eaten
