He'll do whatever is in his best interest. He won't give a damn about anyone or anything other than himself. True, that is hard to predict, but he talks to Putin constantly. I'm sure they've cooked up some plan to make tRump look good while Putin gets what he wants, at least partially.

I'll be surprised if tRump does anything with regards to Putin, other than sucking his ball sack. I hope I'm wrong, but Ukraine might need to count more on Europe for the next four years and be careful not to rely on tRump for anything.
