I remember sitting in the pew in my parish around 2003 and counting no fewer than 15 laicized priests and their wives. There are also scores of women who have a vocation who sit silently in the pews or become Episcopal priests. But parishes are closing because there aren’t enough vocations?

I don’t know what’s so hard to understand about this. The biggest dysfunction in D.C. is the U.S. Congress and has been for decades! They spend all of their time raising money to run again. Until Citizen’s United is defeated, by Constitutional amendment, if necessary, we will have this problem!

Warnings were blaring over the speakers before she ever climbed over folks to get through that broken door pane. You could hear them. We were f’ing watching it live just a few minutes before that happened. If they’d been on that camera when she got shot we would have seen that live as well.

I kept seeing it so much that I finally thought “wtf am I missing?” There are tons of people who STILL believe that nonsense!
