It could be an age thing… I remember back when Web 2.0 started, when I was finishing HS, I had so much to say and all my friends were on the platform…

This feels like encountering strangers in the void and most of them a selling something

I often only have negative things to say / disagree with what’s being said and don’t have the energy or time to have a back and forth.

That’s not very newbie or casual friendly, though.

Maybe I’m too old for games but playing Orion Drift on Quest is kinda like what you’re suggesting. Everything just goes so fast and this makes it inaccessible to people with busy lives… Mario Kart had it right with 50cc/100cc/150cc options

Haha true

Maybe, but maybe the screens and speakers are of a bullet / scratch proof material and vandalism is policed heavily. In a high-tech corporate dystopian, I can imagine that protections on advertising would be draconian.

It must be so depressing to be the Murdoch meat puppet in charge of posting for Sky News on bluesky … what a lonely suckhole at the end of a dingy line of suckholes …

Maybe one day you’ll get to spit-shine Chris Kenny’s dome before he broadcasts from a closet

Such an excellent game - clearly a lot of love and smarts went into it.

Extend your trip a few more days?

Oh yeah, I can get behind that

How does this process differ from the prototyping stage?

Yeah :(

I think there needs to be a slow fix, where people buying for shelter are prioritised over investors.

Tax breaks need to be wound back for investors in cities and dense areas. We don’t need to incentivise investors in cities!Probably dancing with political suicide to adopt this position, though.

Here’s the problem - there’s 11 million+ Aussies who don’t want their primary asset to decrease in value and there is maybe at most 1 million Aussies looking to enter the market at any one time.

Any politician that intends to decrease housing value will get the boot… 2019 election anyone??

Holding space finger hold?
December 6, 2024 at 6:29 AM
Yeah, it was madness but it made you really appreciate the game rather than just doing a single play through and moving on.

I didn’t have a memory card on my ps1 and it was really fun to start up Crash Bandicoot 2 and spend the arvo seeing if I could finish the game before bed.

I think he means the return of edgelord memes like Pepe

Yeah, but that would be asking parents to take responsibility for their skin pigs - a tough sell politically for ol Albo

There is adult content all over the internet… social media is a subset of the internet.

It is a noble ambition to obstruct a child’s access to adult content / toxic sides of web. However, a blanket ban on social media apps does zero for that cause.

At the end of the day, it is the parent’s job.

Kids have always found a way… 4chan, burner phones or discord anyone? Maybe a 14yo will discover ChatGPT can easily code up a Facebook alternative and provide steps for hosting.

Right now, we have the majority of u16s in one place and can at least legislate the few tech giants to take action.
