Delighted to have been in attendance today for the unveiling of a plaque for the National College of Physical Education alumni who graduated from the UL campus in 1975. They started their educational journey at Strawberry Hill & Sion Hill before they came to the campus in 1973.

I am delighted to see this exhibition at 44 Connell St Limk. I had the pleasure of doing the research for it. Wouldn't it be great to see other buildings exhibited like this. To show that behind now, empty buildings lie a rich history whose occupants helped the city thrive at one stage.

Doing some research in the LSE London on the Girls Friendly Society England . This is their view of the ending of WWII. The first paragraph I imagine was felt by many.

Today is the anniversary of the liberation of Bergin Belsen. Irish women Gladys Tyndall was the chief matron on that day. Her obit. only gives part of the story. In 1914 she went to the strait settlement Malaysia to be a lady nurse. War broke out and she came back and drove an ambulance in....

Just some of the material I was archiving today at Foynes Museum Limerick. They have a wealth of material acquired over many years on flying boats and associated ephemera. It's a real treat to open boxes and discover what's inside.

Delighted to see so many new followers following this account. I wanted to share with ye a new project I am working on. I am currently working with Foynes Museum in co Limerick cataloguing the Maureen O Hara Collection. An amazing collection and so delighted to be involved in this project.

Royal Irish Academy for a project that will look at the aftermath & emotional trauma of the 1926 Dromcollogher cinema fire on the people of the town, Ireland and the Irish diaspora. Need the publics help - see below. Repost appreciated.

I am currently researching and writing a book on the women of Ennis Cumann na mBan which will focus on their lives before, during and after the revolutionary period. I would love to talk to the relatives of these women to bring their stories out of the shadows....
