This is also how you get dead kids. Kids trapped in horrible situations with no hope of rescue because no one sees them.
Right wing homeschoolers have advocated for this. Parent’s rights have gone too far in this country.

The ACA did a lot of things, but it’s closer to “Romney care” than what they started out trying to do. It has some good features but was badly degraded by the GOP.
In some states, it was really expensive.
Even single payer won’t be perfect, but it would be better.
