When dealing with that final piece once it is cut, it takes practice to do it perfectly; you just cut around the core and toss whats left. You will begin with more waste, but with time you can get it closer to the core of the root, and waste less.

Well, when cutting, slicing or dicing an onion, the first thing you should do is keep the root intact. You can cut off the stringy bit, but try to keep the core intact. This will aid you in keeping the onion in 1 piece while cutting and it will stop you crying!

As in your OT, becomes paid PTO? That is super sus.

That whole deal is all piled on the caveat that your PTO will be approved; frankly pulling what they are with your OT, I wouldn't be shocked to hear they refuse PTO also.

You shouldn't feel guilty about taking PTO. Everyone requires downtime!
