Republicans are becoming more secular and Dems are in the wilderness ideologically and leadership wise in a way they haven't been in decades. I don't know if Conor is right but the ingredients are there.

Plus coalitions are always changing.

Went years hoping for this then all of a sudden we stacked. I know it's a rarity for it to happen that fast so I'm thankful it did, but I'm also annoyed from the years of not trying as hard as they could/should have.

This is like listening to a 60s radical in 1985. I just can't help but chuckle at folks with these grand visions, regardless of the merits, that under the best of terms would take years to accomplish. Like how long do you think you have before the zeitgeist turns against you.

The economy of the 2010's was suffering with insufficient demand but that wasn't popular to say so they made up the "learn to code" business to make sense of it.
