My review of Nicole Beth Wallenbrock's 'The Franco-Algerian War Through a Twenty-First Century Lens' is live now on H-War Reviews. A fascinating read for scholars interested in film history, decolonization, or historical memory. 🗃️ www.h-net.org/reviews/show...

6 weeks of international travel is finally coming to an end. Excellent research in France & Morocco, plenty of exploration in between, and a terrific ESEH in Sweden to wrap things up.

Nantes is pretty great so far. Starting research this week at the Centre des Archives Diplomatiques

The Centre d’archives d’architecture contemporaine might be my favorite archive I’ve worked in. Good flow, friendly people, and all the giant maps/photos/blueprints one could ever want

Nothing like opening an archival folder to discover this type of chaos
