I read a lot of MG & YA, but I am listening to this adult book called Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books & it is glorious. I adore it. Tackles big, current topics that are heavy & real w/ good, often fun storytelling. Name drops a lot of banned books. Love how it weaves everything together.

I read a lot of MG & YA, but I am listening to this adult book called Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books & it is glorious. I adore it. Tackles big, current topics that are heavy & real w/ good, often fun storytelling. Name drops a lot of banned books. Love how it weaves everything together.

Today my first born child is graduating from Ohio University with a Bachelors of Science in Forensic Chemistry. I am so proud of her. I’m so sorry that she’s graduating into a world that no longer believes in science & is less safe for women. She is an amazing young woman & I love her so much.

I am the mom to 2 daughters. And though there are a lot of reasons, I join the economic boycott today because I want my daughters to have the right to make their own medical choices, vote, & be employed. I made this poster last night in Canva because I just wanted to. I’m scared & mad for my girls.

Lots of people are making good & important points about this. But also: With most YA having a 17 year old main character, this is exactly what we don’t need. WE NEED MORE YA WITH 13, 14 & 15 YEAR OLD MAIN CHARACTERS ACTUALLY

People use birth control for a myriad of reproductive health issues. And yes, to prevent pregnancies. People will suffer. People will die. This is not okay. It’s terrifying.
