When the OD got elected I was 90/10 equity to fixed income. I've been shifting over time to what I am now - 55/45. The first time he got elected I lost because I thought the market would dive and it didn't. Those who have 401k/IRAs - are you changing your outlooks and asset mix?

It's good alot of people are gonna go out tomorrow & make each other feel like they're not alone in this shi^storm. For me, a post by a Frenchman today really resonated. He called the protest an embarrassment pointing out that when the French protest they actually disrupt things & demand change.

this is pretty damning....but, not surprising I s'pose....rule of law for elites has been virtually non-existant for quite awhile -- but, still.
This doesn’t even include the ones who had pending case but he had their charges dropped.

we're living in Mexico as residents -- have to present a utility bill to get a tax id -- the landlord gave it to me today -- $4.20/mo - it's a modest 2 bedroom...our electric at home, granted the house is 3 times bigger and in a harsher climate, averages $250/mo...

Admittedly I don't watch TV, so maybe they're all talking about how we're gonna stop this -- but, I doubt it. Haven't seen much from any elected leaders about the war on America -- are they all hiding? Gallegos is an exception but he seems to be deluded about which way the military is gonna go.

Not only should the Dems refuse to cave on the shutdown; they should announce they won’t vote for a budget until: (a) the military is withdrawn from every American city where it’s been deployed; (b) the budget forbids the use of any funds for that purpose; AND (c) the healthcare demand already made.

Some folks have asked me what affordable housing bills I support. Here's a good example of one of many. It was my spouse's bill. It passed the legislature but was vetoed because real estate oligarchs hated it.

So the Senate Dems by unanimous consent voted to honor Kirk, a man who, among other abhorent acts, routinely denigrated POC, women and LGBTQ+. The house is gonna vote on a similar resoution and the leaders will vote in favor. Do Dems ever say enough is enough...when?

I never saw that Colbert had much to say about what they did to him. Haven't heard much from Kimmel either. Neither one of them should be of as much interest as people being unable to afford housing or medical care, or that thousand of POC are being rounded up daily & thrown into camps.
