I feel like your interpretation isn’t far off but there are a lot of nuances to the dynamic between these 3 and only time will tell if Fujimoto can pull it off gracefully, I’m excited to see where it goes though!

I think Denji is trying to steer away from viewing women from a sexual lens, we see his struggle with it and how much he hates that aspect about himself time and time again throughout these last 20 chapters.
