There are (and always have been) people with 20 years of experience and people with 1 year of experience, 20 times. I think the main effect of AI is that the latter group is going to end up with 0 years of experience, 20 times, which is really not that much of a difference.

I also work in software. This change was not spearheaded by the people who annoy you on Twitter, it was pushed by a multi-billion dollar corporation trying to deflect attention from the fact that it was helping the government put children in cages. Also, my job still uses "master," somehow. 🤔
