3/ Presenting a paper is an opportunity to get feedback on work in progress from the political theory community in Europe and beyond. For the audience, the seminar series offers a way for political theorists/philosophers to engage with new ideas throughout the year, wherever they’re based.

2/ Seminars last an hour, with about 20 mins presentation and 40 minutes discussion, and take place one Wednesday per month at 17:00 – 18:00 CET.

True to form, Chuck requested that his retirement celebration spotlight the research of his former grad students.

I look forward to presenting work from my book project on #AI and #democracy and reflecting on the numerous ways that Chuck has influenced me and so many others.

Matthew Hall is a Research Fellow in Criminology at the University of Nottingham. They work on political theory and surveillance studies, focusing on republican theories of freedom as non-domination. Their research appears in the Routledge Studies in Surveillance series.
