It could be considering dual use, a facility that had both a civilian and military function. Those types of targets need a higher validation. Depending on the sensitivity it can require approval from the SECDEF or president. (Source: me, this is my job)

They don’t really. Maybe wording change from whatever agency is named to the agency using that same policy. It’s just mind blowing. I’d be in jail for this level on negligence. Malicious or not.

That would be unlawful. Again we have the right to refuse unlawful orders and I have faith in my fellow service members that most of us would refuse that order.

It’s so ingrained in us to refuse to carry out an unlawful order. I just hope the rest of my brother and sisters in arms will recognize that if it comes down.

I think that’s a pretty big generalization. As an active duty member, I’m seeing most people who vote republican and/or Trump not condoning any of this.
