Holy shit! The Minnesota assassin was trained in missionary work at Christ for the Nations (Oak Cliff-Dallas). I worked with a guy over 20 years ago, super-religious & cringy as hell, who was a student there & always trying to "save" me. Journos should investigate CFNI and examine their curriculum.

I recently copped the new limited edition 7" pressing of Thee Lakesiders “Parachute” celebrating the 7 year anniversary of the release. It comes on clear green vinyl in a picture sleeve with original art by El Oms. These young Chicanos sparked a Souldie revival that has only grown. Es la pura onda!

Given all the gutting that libraries have suffered, and the books they've had to eliminate from the shelves, it was refreshing to see that my school's library still has this one in the stacks - Chicano dictionary.
