Isn’t it more the payment fee was always there but the 2-3% was minimal enough not to disclose. Was the addition of paywave etc with higher fees which meant retailers started to enforce the difference

Have noticed severe drop off of posting though.
With sport specific lists (egF1) it’s pretty much just Official accounts and broadcasters now, all “invested regulars” just gone which makes it way less essential
