So currently off work with illness, so have decided to mess about with some emulation now I have a powerful enough machine to run games with decent upscaling. All I can think of now is "when are we going to get an HD Bloody Roar game, as Primal Fury looks rather good at higher resolutions?".

After getting some lieu time at work, I have been able to get more chores done than I had planned, which afforded me the chance to try to make sausage rolls. I am notoriously bad with anything pastry related, but despite not looking great, they tasted okay.

Thanks to the magic of eBay and long shipping times (though it still arrived early) a copy of Kaiketsu Zorori: Mezase! Itazura King arrived the other day. I have a Japanese PS2 (I got it for DDR) so I had a good time trying to play it. Not sure the Google Translated text is quite correct, though.

Got the Platinum Trophy in Astro's Playroom on PS5 - 45 mins before the launch of the sequel, Astro Bot, happens in the UK. Now in the Secret Labo area to see what happens when the countdown clock hits zero and the game launches. Then to try to beat all @slycat.uk's time trials. 🤣

Went out and about today with the boyf to see @majorward.bsky.social and his wife, and to enjoy a nice pub lunch. There's little better than enjoying time with friends and seeing the boyf again. A lovely time was had by all. Need to do it more often, budget allowing.

Part of the "real life things that's been preventing me from writing" has been the moving stuff out of father's flat. What this does mean, however, is that I get to replace my old writing desk for an actual bureau. Lots of place to store inks for #FountainPens since my repurposed spice rack is full.

I have bitten the bullet and started to upload some unloved first drafts to SoFurry - thomasking.sofurry.com - Got a couple of things up there, and I'm posting my first NaNoWriMo "entry" from 2011. It's the first draft of Kyyanno's Journey, featuring @kyyanno.bsky.social in a non-canon adventure!

Over the last few weeks I've been off-and-on playing Neopets: The Darkest Faerie on the PlayStation 2. It didn't get released in the UK (got to love ways to play import games on original hardware) so I didn't get to play it when it released, but it's been a good fun time so far. Can recommend.
