Along with having a fun evening, today I took 2 gallons of Walmart milk and made gruyere cheese, which went exceptionally well, and then harvested this jar of ricotta from the whey. #ProductiveComrade

Tonight was wonderful! I visited Comrade Fern and drank a few beers, handed out Socialist literature, then walked down to the river and smoked a joint with a homeless dude and talked for a while. Biked back home and grabbed a 6-pack of 420s on the way.

Unwrapped my first Cheddar, wrapped up 3 months ago in bitter and muslin. It tastes great but has a hint of a blue cheese flavor...does this mean penicillin mold is present somewhere? The blue seen is from my mistake of marking the muslin with a sharpie to cut it. #cheesemaking

My first aged cheese is done! It's a Havarti with thyme & garlic and it's good but over salted a tad when I forgot to adjust the measurement. Oops!
