What are your favorite principles for API design?

I'll start with:

No Public API without Three Customers. We don't make an API public unless there are at least three real customer use-cases. One of those can be internal.

Pro-tip for designing APIs: Be principled.

Just merged a cool improvement to Terminal.Gui simplifying the API for handing common mouse events in #TUI apps.

Devs can now just bind a mouse flag (e.g. Button1DoubleClicked) to a Command (e.g. Command.Accept), just like they could bind a key press to a Command.
