I have been a bit of a dry spell in my art but happy with this one! It’s oils so it should be dry in about a hundred years 🤣

I just dropped these off at a local gallery and feeling like a part of me was left behind and feeling a bit inadequate. Stupid imposter syndrome 🙄

Make no mistake, this will happen daily until January 20, 2029 ...

You know what’s great? Not scrolling through fb and watching the news. Won’t know what’s fun? Spending the day on a new project. It’s large and can’t wait til my hand stops hurting to finish it! #oilpainting

This January has been the longest Monday of my life. 🙄

Last week was a tough one and taking a break from meta and news was a godsend. Might do it more often. Here is one of the projects I finished instead of doom scrolling. 😉

Just finished this painting of my grandpa. He was a rancher in southeastern Montana and a true cowboy. This photo was probably taken in the 50’s

Busy day, sort of finished 2 portraits (not a 100% on one). Background done on 2 abstract landscapes I have high hopes for and have 3 canvases ready to go with a super cool orange ground or under painting, not sure the right word. Oh and thinking about jumping ship from meta platforms 😩

one of the worst feelings as an artist is when you have lots of ideas for what you want to draw but no time, then when you have the time you have no motivation, then when you have the motivation you have no ideas

My first post!! I do lots of different types of art, I’m kind of all over the place! I paint and draw a few Santa’s a year and tis the season. This one is done with charcoal and pan pastels.
