4. This tax credit's design is a classic example of politicians voting for something now in order to have future generations pay for it (which seems a lot like the problem it is ostensibly trying to solve!)

3. Should I be living in the same house 16 years from now (unlikely), there's a fair chance that some derecho or hurricane will rip the roof & the panels clean off it. Will I still get the tax credit (and maybe another one for 2055 for the replacement?)

2. But local gov't didn't adequately fund it, so now it's backlogged BY 16 YEARS & consequently isn't shaping anyone's decision to do/not do solar (it certainly played no role in my decision)

1. The constantly strapped-for-cash, home-to-many-under-privileged-persons *local gov't* apparently decided to do a tax credit because savetheplanet. Maybe save your back yard first?
