this could all be gone. I push these thoughts away. Meanwhile, half the world has grabbed their popcorn, and half the world is tearing their hearts apart along with us. I believe in kindness – and if half the world is breaking their hearts with us, then it exists, then it has not disappeared.

Three years of various trials, sometimes unbearable pain, but we survived. I consider myself deeply indebted to the Ukrainian army and to the ordinary people who took up arms to protect others. I truly hope for peace in my country, but I know exactly who will make it possible.

In a week, spring will be here. We won’t make noise, but we have survived the third winter in which we were supposed to freeze. For the third year now, “three days.”
