Oh yeah, super common. If the reward is difficult to get to with a random algorithm, but the punishment is really easy, then a random algorithm might not reach the reward but learn to avoid the punishment. QWOP is an good example for this, since it's hard to move but easy to crash.

I'm no biologist, but by search fu, it looks like the answer is that that's called a dominance hierarchy and actually works just like that for rabbit coat colors.

The end of I'm a Spider So What was a D. I also randomly pick anime to watch with friends and noted that Straight Title Robot Anime has bad animation.

Wait, that's not what Fire Emblem is about? Missed opportunities...

You might be able to get it up to PSPACE-complete, given that's the complexity for the solvability of Sokoban. I'm thinking of Soul Blazers where you unlock NPCs to get quests to unlock more NPCs, but instead you unlock Baba Is You-style words that can build statements to modify how the quests play.

I felt guilty about spending a month reading 4 million words across three fanfics, but I need to remember that the bar is on the floor.

Currently figuring out how "Die Ärzte" sorts against "The Animals".

Looking at relevant papers (Energy expenditure of nonexercise activity), it looks like it doesn't have much cardio effect but it increases energy expenditure over sitting still by about 50% (from 80 ± 23 kcal/hr to 118 ± 33 kcal/hr).

But in my brief research, I found an equation on Healthline that seems to handle more nuance.

WebMD said, "Moderately active means you do physical activities equal to walking about 1.5 to 3 miles per day at 3 to 4 miles per hour, in addition to the light activities of daily living."

My fun thing I realized with the last pair of shoes I got is that my feet get wider after the second mile of walking and it's uneven between my feet.

It seems that this thread has a lot of people confusing 17th century liberalism, mid 20th century neoliberalism, and a different "neoliberalism", which seems like a combination of neoclassical economics, utilitarianism, Weber's idea of the protestant work ethic, and Reaganomics.

Great now I'm thinking of the setting of the board game Apiary, where everyone is a sentient cyborg bee in space, free associating with Mothership. So I'm thinking of a magic system where if the player missteps their dance, they take SAN damage.

I'd much rather the right one. The space below the header should be larger than the space between body lines to maintain information hierarchy. And the bottom margin on the left one bugs me. Probably could stand to go for a different font though.

I default to Palatino, TBH, but Garamond and Baskerville are nice depending on the application.

I feel like only some Isekai fantasies with game mechanics count as LitRPGs. Like "I'm a spider, so what?" is really explicit about leveling skills as core story progression, but "KonoSuba" just has character sheets as resumes as an occasional gag.
