If you’re looking for an album that simply radiates with joy, check this out. A Brandi Carlile & Elton John record was not on my radar at all, but I’d be damned if this isn’t a fun listen.

Ok yeah, this movie is pretty damn good: I get why it won all those Oscars. Definitely need to rewatch it at some point soon.

The fallout from this will hurt so many people, it’s not even funny.

Whilst not perfect, “The Gorge” is a great film for a movie night or the like. It can be a little formulaic at times, but not “Netflix Original” formulaic, which is nice. Miles Teller isn’t as charismatic as I thought he might be, but Anna Taylor-Joy kills her role (per usual). Overall, not bad. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

It’s a shame that Marilyn Monroe is more known today for her looks than for her filmography, because every movie I’ve seen so far with her in it has been decent to really good, “Niagara” being in the latter category. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This song is not only one of my favorite pop songs of the year so far, but one of my most favorite songs to drop this year period. It’s so hypnotic & groovy, with all its moving parts in motion together with perfect precision.

Anyone who doesn’t believe that Trump cooked up some kinda backdoor deal with TikTok is either stupid or a liar.

A rare example of a deluxe album version being on par with the original.

One of the best songs for the gym.

The newest addition to the record collection: I don’t really buy boxsets, but I like Bernstein, and it’s nice to have all of Beethoven’s symphonies in one cohesive package. It’s also cool that this particular pressing is a 1980 West Germany release.

Whenever The Weeknd & Lana Del Rey collaborate, it’s like crack to my ears. This song is fucking incredible.

It looks like 2025 will be another great year for women in hiphop, if this song is any indication.

‘Tis a hot take, but I like this album more than “Illmatic”. The latter is still a classic though.

Man, this song never gets old.

FKA twigs’ newest album “EUSEXUA” stands out in an era where mainstream electronic/dance records tend to just be compilations of singles. “EUSEXUA” is FKA’s homage to electronic music, while also carving out her own niche in it & creative take on it. The title track & “Striptease” are standout cuts.

“Gladiator II” is another fine example of Hollywood plagiarizing a bona fide classic to make some quick money. It has its moments for sure, but compared to the original, it’s very, very mid.

Do I see myself returning to this album, in full, in the future? Probably not. That said, Ethel Cain’s “Perverts” is an essential listen. Interspersed in its dark hellscape are moments that are somber, beautiful & chilling, all of which are sometimes in just one song. Favs are “Punish” & “Onanist”.

First off, if the initial single “Basic Being Basic” off of Djo’s upcoming album “The Crux” is any indication, we’re in for a treat. Secondly, this cover art is cool as fuck.

If you like spoken word, interspersed with a catchy hook, over heavy-yet-melodic rock production, you’ll dig this new single from Lord Huron titled “Who Laughs Last”…featuring Kristen Stewart of all people.
